Rising Light Ridge to establish new ministry campus in Bear Creek Township
The excitement is building up: Rising Light Ridge is breaking ground! On Tuesday, September 27, Rising Light Ridge will celebrate with a ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of their new campus in Bear Creek, PA. Rising Light Ridge is building a barrier-free, year-round ministry campus serving individuals of all backgrounds and abilities in a physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually supportive community of belonging.
Rising Light Ridge prepares for Inaugural programming season
Rising Light Ridge is excited to announce preparations are well underway for initial program offerings for the summer of 2021. The inaugural season will consist of six weeks of rustic camping experiences serving young men and young women aged from 10 to 17 will participate in platform tent camping and outdoor activities at the organization’s extraordinary property in Bear Creek , PA
Surveying and testing begins
Preliminary site surveys, mapping and soil testing has begun on the proposed site of the main campus for Rising Light Ridge. This testing is necessary to ensure all architectural and engineering designs being considered for the property are completed in an effective and environmentally responsible manner.
Ministry Campus named “Rising Light Ridge”
After two years of conversations, seeking wise counsel, and intense prayer concerning the 3000 acre preserve it obtained in 2016, it was clear the Lord was leading the Tim Tebow Foundation to create a community of belonging, specifically an integrated experiential community where typical youth and youth with special needs live together, camp together, adventure together, and serve together; honoring one another for the unique abilities we are all given by a Creator who has made every human being in His perfect image. This community will be known as Rising Light Ridge, the newest ministry of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
